1,000 gallons of diesel stolen from Texas gas station in broad daylight

Police in Houston, Texas, are investigating for the group responsible for stealing more than 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel straight from a local gas station’s storage tanks. Police say the thieves stole 350 gallons of diesel every day for three days straight from the family-owned Fuqua Express in the southeast part of town, for a total of about 1,100 gallons.

Tiananmen Square protester granted asylum in U.S. stabbed to death

A Tiananmen Square protestor turned immigration lawyer was killed in his New York City office on Monday by a client upset he would not take her case. Jinjin (Jim) Li, 66, was jailed for two years in 1989 by the Chinese government for participating in the 1989 student democracy movement at Tiananmen Square that infamously ended in a bloody massacre of protesters.
