The soundtrack to Disney's latest movie, "Encanto," has reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart, becoming the first Disney soundtrack to do so since "Frozen 2" in 2019.

The song, "We Don't Talk About Bruno," came out on No. 6 in the Hot 100 chart, among songs by Lil Nas X and Adele. The hit is also one of Spotify's most-played songs.

The movie's soundtrack features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a score by Germaine Franco. In total, there are four songs from the film on the Hot 100.

The film's online streaming debut and viral "Encanto" themed TikTok videos boosted the soundtrack's success.

The songs are heavily influenced by Latin American culture and have a distinctive rhythm, making them catchy.

"It was important to me that I write it in Spanish, rather than write it in English and translate it, because you can always feel translation," Miranda told The Los Angeles Times when talking about the movie's song "Dos Origuitas." "There are masterful translators out there — I am not one of them. I was really proud of it, I felt like I pulled it from a deeper place within myself.

"I really had to go out of my comfort zone. My task was to write a Colombian folk song that feels like it's always existed. So I'm imitating some of the folk songs from my culture, great songwriters like [Antonio Carlos] Jobim and Joan Manuel Serrat."

Disney's latest animated film is about a Colombian family with magical gifts. Among the artists voicing its characters is Colombian singer Maluma. The movie premiered in November of last year.
