Maluma announced this week his entrance into the gastronomic sector with Dembow, a new digital fast-food restaurant. The Colombian singer's project was developed in conjunction with Foodology, the application that has given life to some of the most important digital restaurants in his country.
Initially, Dembow will not have any physical point of sale, so its offer will be available 100% through Rappi and other platforms such as WhatsApp, as well as through the Dembowbymaluma.com page, the artist explained.
The restaurant will have a "disruptive offer of hamburgers and hot dogs. The burgers will be Super Smashed Burgers, now a trend in the United States and Europe. These are burgers that are smashed on the griddle for just a few seconds to achieve a crispy crust that maximizes and enhances their flavor. The hot dogs will have ingredients that we would not normally see in a regular hot dog," the page reads.
Dembow will operate in 17 cities in Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil, with 86 points of sale available from November. "The essence is the most important thing [...] and it is a pride to take my culture to the whole world," Maluma told the media.
"Dembow is pure flow with everything that implies: the mixing of cultures, rhythms, colors, and flavors that, no matter where we go or where we arrive, never leave us," said the singer of Hawaii about the relationship between music and his new project.
With this latest business endeavor, the Colombian reggaeton musician continues to diversify his investment portfolio, which includes startups, hotels, race horses, clothing, and a mezcal brand, among others.
