US financial markets opens with sharp drops after Trump's big tariffs announcement

As of Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 1150 points.

The U.S. stock market opened Thursday with sharp declines, the morning after President Trump announced tariffs on countries around the world. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 1,150 points while S&P 500 is down 3.3% in early trading, according to The Associated Press.
