Sharon Osbourne wants refund on $900K she donated to 'scam' BLM

Sharon Osbourne sided with Kanye West about Black Lives Matter being a “scam” during a new interview, saying she wants the hundreds of thousands of dollars she’s given to the movement back.

TMZ reported Friday that the former The Talk co-host “perked right up” when a reporter caught up to her in public and mentioned how Kanye blasted BLM as a “scam.”

“Well, we gave $900,000 to Black Lives Matter and I’d like money back please,” she said, referring to her and her rock star husband, Ozzy Osbourne.

She added that she wished Kanye had called out BLM before she donated to the movement.

The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the legal entity that represents the national BLM movement, has come under fire for its lack of financial transparency and lavish real estate purchases by its board members, including a $6 million 7-bedroom mansion in Southern California it claimed was a “safehouse.”

BLMGNF reportedly raised $90 million in 2020.  

The organization is currently embroiled in a legal battle with 26 BLM grassroots chapters accusing its top executive of illegally “siphoning” $10 million in donation money.

West, who now goes by Ye, triggered a firestorm of controversy when he attended his brand’s Paris Fashion Week show with conservative pundit Candace Owens, both wearing shirts that read “White Lives Matter.”

The enigmatic rapper doubled down Tuesday by posting on Instagram that “Everyone Knows That Black Lives Matter Was a Scam.”

When asked about the White Lives Matter controversy, Sharon Osbourne repeatedly responded that she did not understand it.

“I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter,” she tells the reporter. “Listen, it’s not my thing, it’s not my culture, I don’t understand any of it.”

“Everybody matters, don’t they?” Osbourne adds in a later clip.

But the celebrity did not agree with those calling for Ye to be cancelled and said people should learn to ignore him.

“Don’t go to his social media. Don’t listen to his music,” she said. “Leave the guy alone. Let him do what he does, and if you don’t like him, do that.

“Leave him alone.”
