New York Police Department identified 62-year-old Frank R. James as a suspect in Tuesday's Brooklyn subway attack.

James has addresses in Wisconsin and Philadelphia, police stated.

At the scene of the incident, law enforcement said they found a Glock 17 9 mm, 3 extended Glock-type magazines, 33 discharged shell casings, a hatchet, 2 detonated smoke grenades and 2 smoke grenades that had not been set off, among other things.

Police are processing the crime scenes of the subway shooting and a U-Haul connected to James found about four miles from the shooting.

The suspect allegedly wore a gas mask and construction vest as he opened fire on a subway train and detonated smoke grenades during rush hour. At least 10 people were shot and 29 more sustained injuries during the attack.

Mayor Eric Adams blamed gun violence for the shooting in a press conference Thursday evening.
