The New York Police Department identified the three migrants who were shot in two consecutive shootings that occurred Sunday night near a shelter in Brooklyn, according to 4 New York, a local NBC news affiliate.

The first shooting occurred last night at about 10:45 p.m. near the corner of Flushing Avenue and Steuben Street in Clinton Hill, ending the life of 30-year old Arturo José Rodríguez Marcano.

Rodríguez was taken to a nearby hospital for a gunshot wound to the chest, but was eventually pronounced dead, according to local police reports.

Minutes later, officers received another report of a second shooting right in front of the migrant shelter on Ryerson Street, near Flushing Avenue, where two men were found with wounds from multiple gunshots.

The younger victim did not survive the severity of his injuries and was later identified as Enny De Jesús Urbina Méndez, 21 years old and of Venezuelan nationality.

The other person who was a victim of the second shooting, 59 years old, was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital, where his condition was reported as critical.

Police confirmed that a suspect riding a motorcycle is responsible for the shooting outside the shelter. The NYPD have not yet determined whether the two shootings are related. No arrests have been made.

“My office is working with the New York City Police Department and local elected officials to get information about these shootings and inform the community,” New York State Attorney General Letitia James said, according to 4 New York.
