Argentine President Javier Milei sent a message of hope to the Venezuelan people this Monday, after learning of the Venezuelan regime’s National Electoral Council (CNE) declared dictator Nicolás Maduro as the winner of the recent presidential election with 51.2% of the votes.

The CNE’s announcement has been highly disputed by several Latin American countries and the United States, and the opposition has since announced evidence their coalition won the election.

“The Venezuelan lions woke up and sooner or later socialism is going to end,” Milei said in a TikTok video.

“He may believe he has won a battle. However, the most important thing is that the Venezuelan lions woke up. Sooner or later socialism is going to end, this impoverishing model is going to end, because socialism is always and everywhere a murderous, starving and impoverishing phenomenon,” he explained.

Finally, Milei urged Venezuelans not to give up and continue fighting for the freedom of Venezuela. “Long live freedom, damn it!” he declared.

An hour before the CNE rectors announced the winner of the elections early on Monday, Milei had already published a message on his X account saying that “Venezuelans chose to end the communist dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro.”

"The data announce an overwhelming victory for the opposition and the world is waiting for it to recognize defeat after years of socialism, misery, decadence and death," he indicated, adding that Argentina is not going to recognize another fraud in Venezuela.

Numerous governments in the region, through their leaders or spokespersons, have expressed their concern about the results and have questioned the transparency and legitimacy of the electoral process in Venezuela.

The governments of Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay have since demanded a "complete review of the electoral results."

Meanwhile, the regime of Nicolás Maduro began a new wave of persecution and announced that the Public Ministry opened an investigation against the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado for the alleged cyber-attacks on the CNE from North Macedonia.

“According to the classified information we received, the main person involved in this attack would be citizen Lester Toledo, an infamous fugitive from justice, who is abroad,” said the regime's attorney general, Tarek William Saab.

“Along with him, the fugitive from Venezuelan justice Leopoldo López and María Corina Machado appear to be involved. The prosecutors are collecting evidence of these actions that attempted to adulterate the results,” he added.
