Luis Miguel: Latin pop king announces 2023 North-South America tour dates
The tour will take Luis Miguel to 43 cities, starting on August 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ending on December 17 in Guadalajara, Mexico

Millions of fans are gearing up for the much anticipated tour of star Luis Miguel, the Puerto Rican born Mexican singer who made musical history as the best selling Latin artist of the 1990s.
His songs led to the 'Latin Explosion' of Spanish language pop rock, a phenomenon which rippled across the region and among the Hispanic community in the United States, dominating the Latin music scene with a hybrid of jazz, pop and tango in the form of ballads, bolero and mariachi rock songs.
Luis Miguel is best known for his acclaimed hit, El Sol de Mexico, which became his calling card, making him known as 'The Son of Mexico,' a story that became so popular it was turned into a highly dramatic biopic series on Netflix in 2018.
Promoters finally released the highly-anticipated dates for his upcoming 2023 tour of North and South America on Thursday, and El Sol de Mexico revealed the 2023 tour dates in a short clip posted on his Instagram.
The short, simple video shows only the dates and the cities while his iconic track “Amor, Amor, Amor” plays in the background.
The upcoming tour will take Luis Miguel to 43 cities, starting on August 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ending on Dec. 17 in Guadalajara, Mexico. After three dates in Argentina, the singer will perform three concerts in Santiago, Chile.
Luis Miguel's tour in the U.S. begins Sept. 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he will perform for three days. He will then move on to the Golden State, and perform in Anaheim, San Diego, Los Angeles, Ontario, and Palm Springs.
Following California, the Latin pop singer will perform in Phoenix, Arizona, Chicago Illinois, Indianapolis, New York, Miami, Tampa, Boston, Washington, D.C., Newark, Belmont Park, and Oklahoma.
The U.S. tour ends with several stops in Texas, including Hidalgo, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
Shortly thereafter, he will perform internationally in Mexico, taking him to Monterrey, Mexico City, Queretaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Leon, Puebla, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Morelia, and Guadalajara.
The last time the artist went on tour was from 2018 to 2019, with his “México por Siempre tour,” which broke the record for the highest-grossing Latin tour in Boxscore history. The concert made $101.4 million after selling 965,000 tickets for 116 shows. The record was beaten last year by Bad Bunny’s “El Ultimo Tour del Mundo.”
Luis Miguel won his first Grammy at age 14 when he performed Me Gustas Tal Como Eres with U.S. celebrity artist Sheena Easton in 1984. He was the youngest male in history to win the award, kicking off a historic career that became legendary.
In 1991 he was the first Latin artist to be recognized for two platinum record albums. His album, 'Romance' is still recognized as one of the highest selling Spanish language musical albums of all time.
According to Boxscore, Luis Miguel remains the highest selling Latino touring artist of all time, having rounded up an estimated total of $278 million throughout his career, followed by Marc Anthony who ranks second.
In October 2020, Billboard ranks Luis Miguel as number two on their Greatest of All-Time Latin Artists Chart, just one notch below Julio Igleseas.
