The wealthiest man in the world had twins last November with one of his top executives, according to court documents obtained by Insider.

Shivon Zillis, a 36-year-old who has served in multiple senior positions at Musk’s companies, gave birth to twins in November – weeks before he had a second child with cyberpunk musician Grimes via surrogate in December.

This means Musk, who has repeatedly expressed concerns about the modern world’s falling birthrates, now has nine known children.

Insider obtained a petition filed in April to change the twins’ names in order "have their father's last name and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name." The order was approved in May by a judge in Austin, Texas – where the tech mogul recently opened Tesla’s new Gigafactory Texas.

Zillis, currently director of operations at Neuralink, Musk’s brain implant company, reportedly bought a multimillion-dollar home in Austin about three months before the twins were born, according to Insider.

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO claims his primary residence is a $50,000 modular home near SpaceX’s launch facility in South Texas, but the document obtained by Insider have him and Zillis at the same address – her Austin home.

The new mother was born in Canada but attended Yale University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy in 2018. She has served in multiple roles at Musk’s ventures, including board member at artificial-intelligence non-profit OpenAI and project director at Tesla.

Zillis has even been floated as a potential CEO for Twitter after its acquisition by Musk.

The pair share similar passions, like space travel, transportation and, most importantly, AI.

In May, Insider broke news that Musk paid a SpaceX flight attendant $250,000 in 2018 for her silence on allegations he exposed himself to her on a company plane.

Musk denied the allegations on Twitter and challenged the accuser to come forward and name one body feature, like a scar or tattoo, unknown to the public.
