A Taco Bell manager in Bucks County, Pennsylvania has been called a “heroine” after saving the life of an 11-month-old baby who was choking in the store's drive-thru.
The boy's mother, Natasha Long, said they were coming from the pharmacy when they stopped at the establishment, located in Bucks County, to eat.
A video captured by the store's security camera showed the moment in which the mother was taking her son out of the back seat, while screaming for help.
Taco Bell manager Becky Arbaugh runs up and begins giving CPR to little Myles, who managed to breathe seconds later.
“I threw away my headphones. I ran away. "I took the baby and started doing chest compressions and he finally started breathing," Arbaugh said. “When my kids were little, my daughter had a similar incident, so I knew what was going on.”
Long thinks Arbaugh's calm reaction is the reason she was able to save her baby's life.
“We couldn't be more grateful to Becky. "He saved my son's life," Long added, saying that Myles was born with a rare syndrome that affects the airways.
The child is recovering but will need surgery to improve his quality of life and prevent a similar incident in the future.
In a statement to NBC News, Taco Bell said it was incredibly proud of Arbaugh's actions.
