“It was like something you see out of a movie. How are they going to try to rob someone in broad daylight?” a resident who witnessed the drama told The New York Post on Monday.

The video shows two suspects on a motorcycle chasing a 28-year-old man and cornering him against a wall, where they begin to hit him. One of the suspects attempt to steal something from him, holding a gun against him, while the other holds on to the motorcycle.

“Help!” the victim repeatedly shouts in the video.

At that moment, another man appears from behind and grabs the gun from the assailant’s hand. A struggle ensues, but eventually, the two suspects flee and leave the man with their gun.

Police later said that the suspect fired at the victim three times, but did not hit him.

The two suspects are thought to be connected to three other robberies on a motorcycle.

In one of the other incidents, the duo approached a woman near the Guggenheim at East 89th Street and Fifth Avenue and tried to steal her jewelry. The woman attempted to fight the assailant off, making them flee.

Hours later, the two suspects on the same motorcycle threatened a man walking on West 204th Street at Broadway with a firearm. The suspects told the victim that they wanted his chain and would shoot him if he moved. However, the two robbers fled empty-handed.

Then at West 212th Street and Broadway, the suspects approached a man sitting on a bench and threatened him with a gun. They fled with the man’s chain.
