The New York Police Department released a shocking video showing the execution-style murder of a 26-year-old musician in Queens, New York, last weekend.
Surveillance footage from outside 624 Grassmere Terrace in Far Rockaway shows Peter Panthier walking next to his killer at around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday. Moments later, the suspect pulls out a gun and shoot Panthier in the head.
Panthier immediately drops to the floor as the suspect turns around to flee the scene on foot.

Police say the gunman fired several rounds. Panthier was taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“They were walking together like they were friends, and he shot him. I can’t understand it,” said Panthier’s father, Peter Panthier Sr. “He was executed. Oh my God, he was executed.”
It remains unclear why Panthier was in Far Rockaway, the police said. It is also unknown whether the two men knew each other.
“This is a sick guy. It’s sad. They took his life. He was just a young man,” Panthier’s father said.
Panthier moved from Dominica, an island in the Caribbean to the U.S. about a year and a half ago. He lived in Brooklyn with his family. Panthier had no criminal record, added the police.
“He was a good man. If anything, he was too quiet. He was fighting depression,” said his grandfather, Julian Dodds. “He went out about half past five. A car was waiting for him outside, and that’s the last we saw from him.”
The suspect remains at large as of Thursday.
