The Mexican authorities said that the detainee of Salvadoran nationality was wanted for homicide, aggravated robbery, possession of a weapon of war, use of false documentation, among other crimes.
Thanks to an informant, the authorities located him with a false identity, in the municipalities of Mixquiahuala and Tunititlán, in Hidalgo, as well as in the center of Mexico City.
Ayala-Alcántara had been formally charged on Feb. 23, 2023, following the arrests of other MS-13 members linked to him: Vladimir Antonio Arévalo Chávez, Walter Yovani Hernandez Rivera, and Marlon Antonio Menjivar Portillo.
