The FBI raided the residence of one of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ fundraiser Thursday morning.

Federal agents searched the Brooklyn residence of Brianna Suggs, a consultant whose firm has was paid more than $150,000 from Adams’ campaign since 2021.

According to campaign filings, Suggs has personally been issued more than $16,500 in payments from the mayor’s accounts and has remained on a monthly retainer with the mayor.

The firm, Suggs Solutions LLC, is registered in the State of New York and is registered to a family-owned brownstone in Brooklyn at 929 Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, according to city property records.

It is unknown what the FBI was searching for, but neighbors told The New York Post that they heard commotion.

“I heard screaming maybe two or three hours ago,” one neighbor told the city based newspaper. “I heard helicopters …”

The Post also reported that it attempted to contact Suggs, that she did not pick up the telephone, and that it was not clear who her lawyer was.

The newspaper also reported that New York City Hall referred all calls about the matter to the mayor’s campaign counsel, Vito Pitta.

“The campaign has always held itself to the highest standards,” Pitta said. “The campaign will, of course, comply with any inquiries as appropriate.”

It is not clear how much Adams knows about the unfolding situation, but reportedly cancelled meetings with the White House about immigration after landing in Washington to return to New York.

The meetings were about the emerging immigration crisis haunting the New York City metropolitan areas as more and more migrants continue to seek shelter under the city’s sanctuary law.
