New video shows exact moment when small plane crashes on Miami bridge

A new video shared on Monday by Local 10 News shows the exact moment of Saturday's deadly plane crash on Miami's Haulover Bridge at 10800 Collins Avenue, which left one dead and five injured.

The images were captured by a vehicle camera and show an SUV abruptly dodging the plane moments before crashing.

The pilot of the small plane, Narciso Torres, 36, lost his life after the plane caught fire.

Two of Torres' family members were also on board the plane. Although both survived, one of them is still recovering in a hospital from severe burns.  

The emergency calls were issued after the Cessna 172 aircraft first appeared over the bridge, hitting two vehicles before making a crash landing.

Aida Kazakova, 34, and her two young children, a 6-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were in one of the vehicles hit by the plane.

Several drivers ran to try to help the victims. Bystanders were shocked by the terrible accident, as seen in several videos recorded with cell phones.

A spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) sent a statement to Local 10 News that said:

"Part of the investigation will consist of requesting radar data, weather information, air traffic control communication, aircraft maintenance records, and pilot medical records."

The investigation could take up to two years to complete.
