A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after he set himself on fire Wednesday night at a Publix supermarket in Florida, according to a report published by The Tampa Bay Times. Several people tried to help the man by putting out the flames, while they waited for the Plant City Fire Department to arrive. Finally, the man was helped and rushed to a nearby hospital. He is now in critical condition, according to local NBC West Florida television new affiliate WFLA.

The reason for the fire is unclear, and the incident remains under investigation.
