The graphic designer was seen entering the apartment she shared with a friend on Monday. At the time, the young woman was alone and was being followed by her alleged aggressor who was obsessed with her, her neighbor reported to Telemundo 51.
Pan’s neighbor, Adelina Hernández, said she witnessed what happened that day. “I saw everything. The body on the floor, the man with his torso naked and with a knife was stabbing her and stabbing himself as well.”
The young woman worked at a Lincoln Road restaurant and her co-workers told Infobae that the alleged assailant, who was also an employee, left the restaurant at 5 p.m. Two hours later, Pan was dead.
Three months ago, the assailant confessed his love for Pan and became obsessed with her, said one of her co-workers. He would call Pan at all hours, message her constantly, and there was even a violent incident in a car, said Pan’s friend. Pan decided to treat him cordially for fear of being attacked, reports the newspaper.
The alleged perpetrator was reportedly admitted to Jackson Memorial Hospital due to slash wounds, where he attempted suicide after the incident.
