Biden to deliver remarks in Chicago in first speech since leaving office

Former President Joe Biden will deliver a speech Tuesday at a conference in Chicago, marking in his first public appearance since leaving office. 

Biden will give a speech to the Advocates, Counselors and Representatives for the Disabled (ACRD), according to a press release from the group.

The conference will be about strengthening and maximizing Social Security.

“We are deeply honored President Biden is making his first public appearance at ACRD’s sold-out conference,” ACRD Executive Director Rachel Buck said in a statement, according to an NBC News affiliate.

Other speakers at this conference include former Social Security Administration commissioner Martin O’Malley and former Michigan Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
