Outstanding video of the early morning #meteor captured by Caleb Carlson on the Louisiana/Mississippi border! The green really shows up nicely indicating some nickel composition! pic.twitter.com/OYycePbtZg

On May 20, security cameras at Cairns Airport, Australia, captured the amazing moment when a meteorite streaked across the sky. Some car and cell phone cameras even recorded the spectacular event.
According to an article by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on the May event, asteroids are celestial objects that orbit the Sun, but there may be astronomical events that alter their orbit.
La UNAM también explica que el color verde antes del impacto en Australia se produjo por el sobrecalentamiento de los fragmentos de hierro y níquel cuando la roca se rompió antes de tocar el suelo.
