King Charles conflicted about Harry and Megan attending royal coronation

England’s King Charles is reportedly “paralyzed by fear” about making any decisions concerning his son Prince Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, according to a biographer who specializes in writing about royalty.

Royal biographer and commentator Tom Bower says the British monarch, who will be crowned King of England in London on May 6 has been conflicted on whether to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at his coronation.

“Paralyzed by fear and indecision, Charles has failed to suppress the Sussexes’ vile vitriol,” Bower wrote in a recent piece published by The Sun, a British tabloid newspaper.

In trying to decide whether to allow the couple, who were married in 2018, to attend, Charles has had to balance the interests of the family and those of the United Kingdom.

On the one hand, if the couple attend the coronation, it could distract a lot of press to cover an otherwise elegant and historic event in a tabloid manner. If he refrains from inviting the couple however, it could cast a cold image upon the British monarchy and also leave Princess Diana’s former husband feeling regrets.

“Ever since Megxit, Meghan and Harry have humiliated the King and the Royal Family,” Bower wrote in The Sun.

Meghan and Harry received invitations to the ceremony already, but have made demands to attend, including a presence on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the coronation, a royal protocol reserved strictly for working members of the royal family.

They have also demanded the family acknowledge their two children,  Prince Archie, who will turn 4 the day his grandfather is crowned king, and Princess Lilibet, now one 1, during the festivities, a source close to the monarchy told OK! Magazine.

So far, the Megxit children have not been invited, a fact that the couple were offended by, say reports.

According to reports, Charles is also concerned about his son’s welfare.

“If they go, the pair will be met with a ‘cold shoulder’ from senior members of the royal family,” wrote the New York Post.

The couple now live in Santa Barbara, California together.
