On September 23, police officers were called to a residence in the 300 block of Real Road over a report of suspicious circumstances.

When the police arrived, they found evidence of foul play and believed a serious crime had taken place at the residence.

Juan Toscano, 34, who was at the residence, admitted to shooting and killing someone at the residence in connection to a drug deal. He told police that the body was removed from the home by other people. Toscano was arrested for murder charges.

Soon after police located the burial site of the victim on Thursday and exhumed the body. They believe that the body belongs to the person that was killed on September 23 in Bakersfield.

Police are waiting for an autopsy to be conducted on the body to identify the victim’s cause of death. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
