Shooting aboard a Greyhound bus in California kills 1 and wounds 4

The suspect was arrested at a nearby Walmart

A shooting on a Greyhound bus on Wednesday in California killed one person and left four others wounded. The suspect was arrested later that day at a nearby Walmart.

At 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday, police in Oroville, California, received calls regarding a shooting inside a Greyhound bus, reported the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found several individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

 Despite attending to the wounded, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims were taken to local hospitals.

The shooting suspect fled the scene before the police arrived. However, police received additional calls claiming that the suspect was inside a Walmart nearby.

The suspect, who was not identified, was arrested and will be taken to Butte County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing. Butte County District Attorney’s Office has scheduled a news briefing for the shooting on Thursday.
