Who is the sexiest man of 2022? Contenders include George Clooney to 'The Rock'

On Monday night, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Sexiest Man Alive 2022 will be revealed, according to People magazine's annual special edition. This year's list of contenders ranges from George Clooney to "The Rock," all vying to make the cover of the Sexiest Man Alive issue.

The magazine published a short list of celebrities who could win this year's award. Here we review some of them:

Kendrick Lamar, the 35-year-old rapper, is described as beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside. People noted the artist's big heart: "Whether he's talking about his unconditional love for his children, connecting with young concertgoers, or pouring his soul into his performances," they wrote about the Grammy and music Pullitzer. The American is also a songwriter and successful music producer.

He is followed by George Clooney, 61, one of the few two-time recipients of People’s Sexiest Man Alive award, who according to the magazine "continues to get better with age." In their review, they joked that "even Brad Pitt agrees," that Clooney is one of the sexiest celebrities in the industry.

Also among the leading men being considered is Robert Pattinson, 36, who had a great year in 2022, entering a new genre of movies with his leading role in The Batman, which swept the box office with a character that is not only emblematic but also more mature and elaborate.

Another on the sexy list competing for the podium this 2022 is the star of the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge. A celebrity adapted to breaking standards, as this year, he connected 62 home runs to set an American League record. "It took me a little longer than I wanted, but ... it's something very special," said the 30-year-old according to the medium.

Ke Huy Quan, 51, returned to acting after a 20-year absence. The Waymond character actor from Everything Everywhere All at Once, who also worked in Indiana Jones, returned to the big screen, so strongly that he could be crowned the captain of Sexiest Man Alive in this edition.

Star and comedian Jo Koy is still in the running. With the release of his semi-autobiographical film Easter Sunday, this year Koy secured a spot among the most handsome. Will he be the winner?

Also entering the list of candidates is Diego Luna, 42, who continues to charm with both his looks and his skill, currently with a role in Star Wars: Andor, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson—according to the media the list would be incomplete without The Rock, 50, who was already named the sexiest man alive in 2016.
