A Canadian high school is bracing for a firestorm of protests Monday morning after footage of one of its teachers, wearing giant prosthetic breasts under a tight T-shirt while teaching at the school, went viral around the world.
The Halton District School Board is “standing behind” an “accepted” Kayla Lemieux, the transgender teacher who has gone viral in social media video posts.
Lemieux is a manufacturing technology teacher at Trafalgar High School in Oakville, Ontario, who began her transition from male to female a year ago. She has gone viral on the Internet after students took photos and videos, apparently without her knowledge, teaching classes with the huge prosthetics, which stretched her clothes and protrude prominently.
Meanwhile, school staff is studying "the creation of a security plan" to ensure the safety of Oakville Trafalgar High School teachers as they prepare for possible protests when the school opens for classes on Monday, HDSB president Margo Shuttleworth told the Toronto Sun.

The school is said to be expecting protests when it opens on Monday since the photos went viral, but in the meantime sent a statement to parents saying:
'As a school within the Halton District School Board (HDSB), Oakville Trafalgar High School recognizes the rights of students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members to equitable treatment without discrimination based upon gender identity and gender expression.
'We strive to promote a positive learning environment in schools consistent with the values of the HDSB and to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and the community, regardless of race, age, ability, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, cultural observance, socioeconomic circumstances or body type/size.
