'Spider-Man: No Way Home' continues to break box office records. In just two weeks, director Jon Watts' film became the first movie to earn over $1 billion since 2019.

The film has grossed more than $1.054 billion worldwide, winning over moviegoers and superhero fans, according to Box Office Mojo, a website dedicated to counting box office receipts.

The last film that had crossed $1 billion was 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker' in December 2019, before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sony and Marvel film achieved the record in just 12 days. The only other films to top $1 billion in less time were 'Avengers: Endgame' (2019) and 'Avengers: Infinity War' (2018), which reached the figure in five and 11 days respectively.

The film starring Tom Holland and Zendaya became Sony's highest-grossing film of all time in the United States.

The new Spiderman movie competed in U.S. markets with two new films from Universal Studios: 'Sing 2,' which came in second place with $23.8 million, and Warner Bros.' 'The Matrix Resurrections,' in third place with $12 million.

'Spider-Man: No Way Home' remains in the number one spot with incredible records, not only in the U.S. but worldwide.

'Spider-Man: No Way Home' also managed to beat the Chinese blockbuster 'The Battle of Chosin Reservoir' from 2021, which to date was the most successful film of the year earning $902 million. Spider-Man has not yet been released in China, the world's largest film market.
