Sharon Stone revealed on Tuesday that her doctors found a "large fibroid tumor" after she was misdiagnosed and given the wrong treatment.

Now, she is urging women to always seek a second medical opinion.

The "Basic Instinct" star wrote on Instagram that she received treatment for a "double epidural" but was still in considerable pain, so she sought out another medical professional.

The second group of doctors found "a large fibroid tumor that needs to be removed” the star said.

"Women in particular: don't be impressed, GET A SECOND OPINION, it can save your life," the 64-year-old actress wrote.

"I will be inactive for 4 to 6 weeks to fully recover. Thank you for your attention. It's all good."

This is not the first time the "Catwoman" star had to undergo a surgical procedure.

According to her memoir "The Beauty of Living Twice," doctors were forced to remove benign tumors that she said were "gigantic, bigger than my breast alone" in 2001.

Stone also revealed that he had suffered a stroke and a brain hemorrhage in the same year.
