A few hours ago, Residente surprised his millions of Instagram followers when he broke the news that tomorrow he will release a new song. After showing off his Grammy awards in his news TikTok account, René Pérez Joglar decided to surprise the world with a preview of his new song.
The new song is titled “This is not America.” Residente released a fragment of the music video for the new single, where only the melody can be heard. In the video, the musician can be seen surrounded by weapons and with strong facial expressions, suggesting that the lyrics will be quite harsh.
"Those of us who write use the pencil to say things. I've already started, and there's no stopping me. Tomorrow I'm going to blow this up. [R] #thisisnotamerica," the rapper posted. A few hours after its publication, the post reached 2.5 million reproductions and around 11 thousand comments.
“This Is Not America” will launch just two weeks after the release of the 49th BZRP Music Sessions. On that occasion, Residente placed his "tiraera" against J Balvin at #1 on the music boards in less than a day. Naturally, the public and his millions of fans are anxious to hear this new musical release from the former Calle 13.
René also made it to TikTok this week. The musician opened his social media account, showing the multiple awards he has won thanks to his talent. The video has almost 11 million views so far.
