One of Ben Affleck's daughters refused to attend wedding to Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck surprised everyone with their unexpected wedding in Las Vegas, NV. In the midst of the couple’s joy, it has also been reported however, that one of Affleck’s daughters declined to attend. 

Although Violet, the eldest of Affleck's daughters, has a good relationship with JLo, she reportedly wanted to stay with her mother, Jennifer Garner, who, on the same date of the wedding–just nine years prior in 2013–separated from the actor.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, a source close to the family said that Violet, 16, "stayed home because she is extremely loyal to her mom."

The two celebrities' other children attended the wedding: Emme Maribel and Max, 14; Sera, 13; and Sam, 10.

The same source explained why the couple had married so suddenly, although many expected it at a moment's notice after the engagement rings were exchanged.

"(Lopez) was ready to get married from the night Ben proposed," she claimed. "She wanted to do this already and eliminate any chance of regrets as soon as possible!"

"Ben told Jen about the wedding but told her it would be Friday at the earliest. It was minimally planned and largely impromptu," she revealed.

Since the couple decided to resume their romance put on hiatus nearly 20 years ago, their children have been included in all their plans. They have been spotted on more than one occasion sharing space with each other's families, and it has been known that JLo gets along very well with her now-husband's children.

"Her kids love JLo, and JLo loves them too. Everything is positive," a source told ETOnline.
