Olivia Newton-John, superstar alongside John Travolta in 'Grease,' dies at 73

British-Australian singer and actress Olivia Newton-John died on Monday at the age of 73, after a career that marked her as one of the iconic music stars of the 1970s and 1980s.

Olivia Newton-John passed away. On her social media, her husband posted a message announcing that "she passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends". She was 73 years old. 

"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for more than 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer."

The actress leaves behind her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona, and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall.
