Finally, a verdict was reached in the defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

The seven-person jury reached its final decision in Fairfax, Virginia on Wednesday, the third day of deliberations after nearly 13 hours of pondering the case. Johnny Deep has won the lawsuit against Amber Heard.

The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million of punitive damages, and Heard $2 million in compensatory damages without punitive damages.

The judge reduced Depp's punitive damage award of $5 million to the Virginia state statutory cap of $350,000 leaving Heard technically owing $8.35 million, when taking the two million Depp owes her into consideration.

The original amount Depp paid Heard in their divorce settlement was $7 million.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star did not attend the court due to "previously scheduled work commitments made prior to the trial."

"Your presence shows where your priorities lie. Johnny Depp plays guitar in the U.K. while Amber Heard awaits a verdict in Virginia," said Heard’s representative referring to a surprise rock show where Depp played with Jeff Beck in England on Sunday. "Depp is taking his giggles and lack of seriousness on tour."

Depp, 58, sued his 36-year-old ex-wife for $50 million over a Washington Post op-ed she wrote in 2018 describing herself as "a public figure who represents domestic abuse."

Heard responded with a $100 million countersuit, arguing that her career was destroyed after Depp's lawyer, Adam Waldman, said publicly that she had fabricated her domestic abuse allegations.
