The legal dispute between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp was one of the most talked about media events of the last decade in Hollywood. The trial of the ex-couple, in addition to having a minute by minute during its weeks of development, now, to everyone's surprise, will also have a movie.

The film will be released this month on the Tubi platform and will be free of charge. Hot Take. The Depp/Heard Trial will have as its central theme the messy legal process between the two actors, although it is still unknown exactly what part of the trial will be highlighted.

Apparently, the movie will be a reenactment of what happened in the Fairfax, Virginia courtroom, but everyone is waiting to see how the story starring Depp and Heard will be told.

The premiere date is September 30, on a free content portal for the United States, owned by the Fox network.

According to director Sara Lohman: "They work to capture an appropriate version of a story that became part of the cultural zeitgeist, portraying a unique image of what millions of people saw in the headlines over the summer."

Lohman wrote films such as Grace and Frankie, in addition to directing other films such as 2020's Secrets in the Woods and 2012's Good Satan. Hot Take. The Depp/Heard Trial is based on a script by Guy Nicoluzzi.

Mark Hapka will play Johnny Depp and Megan Davies will play Amber Heard, the outlet stated. Melissa Marty and Mary Carrig put faces to their respective lawyers, Camille Vasquez and Elaine Bredehoft.
