Britney Spears is not free from her father: Jamie legally accuses her of defaming him!

Britney Spears will face her dad in court once again just days after her dream wedding to Sam Asghari. The "Princess of Pop" received the news that her father, Jamie Spears, has filed a lawsuit for alleged defamation against her.

According to information released by TMZ, the performer's dad filed legal documents to request that his famous daughter be placed under oath for alleged attacks against her name on Instagram and in the upcoming book she will release.

Her father is seeking a legal denial of the allegations made against him, including that he did not allow the singer to take painkillers, that he took away her driver's license, and that he allegedly forced her to give eight tubes of blood to obtain medical attention.

In the legal proceeding, Alex Weingarten, Jamie Spears' attorney, stated that the artist "continues to post content on social media containing inflammatory allegations about various matters."

After this information was released, Matthew Rosengart, Britney's lawyer, spoke out about it and in an interview with Page Six. "Mr. Spears continues to disgrace himself, especially after these foolish and misguided statements, which are riddled with errors and falsehoods, as he himself knows," he said.

Last November, the singer freed herself from her father's guardianship of more than 13 years after a tough court battle in which she claimed that the man who gave her life took several million dollars from her.

The measure was imposed on her in 2008 after several media outlets captured Britney in controversial situations and she was accused of having mental health problems.
