Determinations are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and touring, tracked by Billboard and its data partner, Luminate,” according to the Billboard website.

The awards ceremony featured several performances by popular Latin artists such as Ozuna, Calibre 50, Manuel Turizo, and Maluma, among others.
