Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Rosalia among Latin artists with 2023 Grammy nominations 

Bad Bunny's nomination for Album Of The Year is the first time that a Spanish-language album has been nominated for this category in the history of the Grammys

Several Latin artists were nominated for the 2023 Grammy Awards, which were announced on Tuesday. The Latin stars that will be recognized at the 65th annual show include Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, Omar Apollo, Rosalia, and Sebastian Yatra, among others. 

Bad Bunny was nominated for three awards: Album Of The Year for “Un Verano Sin Ti,” Best Pop Solo Performance for “Moscow Mule,” and Best Musica Urbana Album. The reggaeton artist’s nomination for Album Of The Year is the first time that a Spanish-language album has been nominated for this category in the history of the Grammys. 

Other nominations for Best Musica Urbana Album went to Rauw Alejandro’s “Trap Cake, Vol.2,” Daddy Yankee’s “Legendaddy,” Farruko’s “La 167,” and Maluma’s “The Love & Sex Tape.”

The nominations for Best Latin Pop Album include Christina Aguilera’s “Aguilera,” Camilo’s “De Adentro Pa Afuera,” and Sebastian Yatra’s “Dharma+.”

Two Latin Artists snagged a spot in the Best New Artist category: Anitta and Omar Apollo. Additionally, Lucky Diaz and Los Fabulosos were nominated for Best Children’s Album. 

Rosalia’s “MOTOMAMI,” Cimafunk’s “El Alimento,” Fito Paez’s “Los Años Salvajes,” Gaby Moreno’s “Alegoría,” Jorge Drexler’s “Tinta y Tiempo,” and Mon Laferte’s “1940 Carmen,” were nominated for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album. 

“MOTOMAMI,” the song that share’s the name with Rosalia’s hit album, was also nominated for Best Music Film. 

Other nominations include Christian Nodal, Chiquis, and Natalia Lafourcade for Best Regional Mexican Music Album. 

The Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on February 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
