Spotify released its highly anticipated Spotify Wrapped, which collects the platform's global data and the listening history of its users. For the third consecutive year, Bad Bunny is once again crowned as the most listened-to artist in the world.

The Puerto Rican artist once again won the award thanks to his album “Un Verano Sin Ti,” which has been the most listened to album in the world this year. Bad Bunny’s album also became the first album entirely in Spanish to be nominated for Album of the Year at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Others who entered the top spots on the Spotify ladder were Taylor Swift and Drake, who complete the Top 3 most listened to artists on the site in 2022, followed on the list by The Weeknd and K-Pop icons BTS.

To honor Bad Bunny's achievement, the Swedish media services company said it would turn the heart icon seen on the cover of “Un Verano Sin Ti” into a commercial design, just like the balloon that appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year.

In the United States, Drake took first place as the most-played artist of the year, followed by Taylor Swift. And despite Kanye West's recent scandals, he also made his way into the top five.

According to Spotify's information, the most-played song of the year was “As It Was, by Harry Styles.”  However, Benito also snuck into this list, with the singles “Me Porto Bonito” and “Tití Me Preguntó,” coming in at fourth and fifth place, respectively.Taylor Swift stands out as the only woman in the Top 10 of global artists, and of course, Rosalía, who has been the Spanish artist with the most plays worldwide.
