The girl who survived the horrific mass shooting in Uvalde by smearing herself with her friend’s blood said the shooter executed her teacher in front of the class.

Miah Cerrillo, an 11-year-old fourth grader at Robb Elementary School, told CNN on Friday morning that her class was watching the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch when the shooter, Salvador Ramos, entered the school.

But her teacher received the email notification too late and failed to lock the door before Ramos arrived and shot out the small door window, reports The Daily Mail.

Cerrillo said that Ramos walked into the classroom, looked her teacher Irma Garcia in the eye, and said “goodnight” before shooting her.

Ramos then began firing at the students before moving to the connected classroom to continue his shooting spree.

Cerrillo said she and a friend grabbed her teacher’s phone and dialed 911. She covered herself with blood from a dead classmate to fake her own death and fool Ramos.

After the shooting stopped, Cerillo said Ramous started playing “sad music.” She could only describe it as the kind of music you play when “you want people to die.”

Ramos was killed about an hour later when Border Patrol’s tactical unit stormed the classroom and shot him dead. The police’s response has since come under intense scrutiny, especially on why they waited so long to make a move on the gunman.

Miah's father, Miguel Cerrillo, said that a police officer retrieved his daughter from the school alive but covered in blood, reported by The Washington Post.

The young girl was sent to the hospital for “bullet fragments in her back” but was released later Tuesday to be with her family.
