In 2019 he founded the successful Baleares restaurant in Ponce, Puerto Rico. But now a tragic accident has claimed the life of Madrid-born chef Enrique Garcerán González at the age of 34.

According to multiple local sources, Garceran Gonzalez died on Tuesday night after his car crashed into a tree and a fence while traveling on Juan Ponce de Leon Avenue near the intersection with Urpiano Street in the Las Delicias development.

The Puerto Rico Police reported that the culinary expert was traveling in a gray JEEP Gladiator model 2023. He was reportedly speeding and lost control of the steering wheel.
