The wedding is called off! Christian Nodal confirms the end of his relationship with Belinda
The Mexican artist thanked all of his fans for accompanying them throughout their relationship and asked them to respect their decision

Mexican singer and songwriter Christian Nodal confirmed on Saturday the end of his relationship with fellow Mexican singer Belinda just hours before celebrating Valentine's Day.
Nodal ended his relationship with the actress after a year and a half together, even after the singer decided to get a tattoo of Belinda's initials, just as she got a tattoo of "CN", referencing the artist's name.
"To all the fans and friends of the press, I want to share with you that we have decided to end our engagement and relationship as a couple, taking the best of each other," Nodal posted on his Instagram story.
He also thanked all of their fans for accompanying them throughout the relationship and asked them to respect their decision: "I ask for respect for the decision we have made, where each one go through the separation process in their own way and always wishing the best to the other for the happy times lived and those of trial as well."
The artist explained that all the rumors about the breakup were false. "To the media, with much respect, I communicate that I will no longer talk about the subject," he concluded.
Rumors about their breakup
Before Christian Nodal announced the breakup, fans noticed the exact moment when both artists unfollowed each other on social media, which hinted at the end of their engagement.
Some Mexican media outlets claimed their breakup was because Belinda had asked Nodal for a loan of four million dollars. However, this was not confirmed.
