Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, a known conservative, was once again ranked the South American president most valued by citizens in the month of August, according to the ranking of CB Consultora, a company specialized in the study of the social climate and the projection of electoral scenarios.

Noboa’s popularity and approval rate reached 52.7% this month compared to 51.5% in July, while his disapproval index stands at 44.1%, according to the survey conducted between Aug.15 and 18 to 12,414 people (an average of between 1,040 and 1,462 citizens per country), with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of +/- 2% to 3%.

ADN America reported the former businessman and Harvard graduate was also ranked the most popular president in May at a rate of about 57%.

On the other end of the political spectrum, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a known leftist, is also ranked high with a margin of favorability of 52.5% (53.6% in July), while the negative indicator remained at 44, 6%.

Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou climbed to third place with a favorable image of 51.2%, which last month was 48.7%, while the negative in August was 45%.1%.

At the other end of the table, the Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro is now in last place with a disapproval rate of 68.7% compared to a 27.8% approval rate. In July, his approval rate was 37.6%.

Venezuela has been experiencing an atmosphere of maximum tension since the presidential elections of July 28, whose official results are under judicial review, while the opposition persists in its denunciation of fraud and in asking, like a good part of the international community, that they be published the official data of the elections that declared the Chavista candidate as the winner.

Following the Venezuelan president is Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, who had a disapproval rate of 64.4% and a 28.9% approval rate (32.5% in July), and Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who holds a disapproval rate of 62.7 % and approval rate of 34.2% (32.3% in July).

In contrast, the newly elected libertarian president Argentine President Javier Milei who ranked first last month, with a favorability of 52.1% fell slightly to fourth place to an approval of 50.6% and a disapproval of 46.2%.

He is followed by Paraguayan President Santiago Peña, with 47.3% approval rate (45.2% in July) and 47.1% disapproval rate, and Bolivian President Luis Arce with a 46.2% approval rate. (49.8% in July) and a disapproval rate of 50.3%.

Chilean President Gabriel Boric currently has a 37% approval rate, slightly up from 36.3% in July, and the negative index reaches 58.2%.
