video shows a massive alligator strolling through an upscale Florida neighborhood last week, shocking its residents as it moved through the manicured lawns of the community.

The cellphone video posted by WINK meteorologist Matt Devitt shows the 10-foot gator walking across a road and eventually reaching a patch of grass at the Forest Glen Golf & Country Club in Naples, Florida.

“Dios mio!”—”My God!” in English, a woman can be heard saying in the video.

“Is it really here? It’s gigantic!” says another woman about the alligator.

The alligator, which allegedly came from a nearby river, was removed by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Department after they were called to the scene.

“Forest Glen Golf & Country Club in Naples, Florida is a club of distinction for those who desire a community with friendly people, superior golf, quality tennis, pickleball & bocce programs, and first-rate dining in the serenity of a nature preserve,” the club says on its website.

While alligator attacks are rare, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Department warns people to be vigilant and stay away from alligators that are more than four feet long.

In late February, an 85-year-old Florida woman was killed after an alligator attacked her while she was walking her dog in her retirement community.

The animal had jumped out of the water to try to attack the woman’s dog but ended up grabbing a hold of the woman and dragging her into the pond.
