Former President Donald Trump is reportedly riled over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ refusal to publicly pronounce that he won’t run for president if Trump once again takes to the campaign trail in 2024.

Politico's Playbook newsletter reported on Friday that the former president complained to members and guests at Mar-a-Lago that DeSantis hasn’t joined other potential presidential hopefuls in publicly declaring that he won’t run in 2024 should Trump decide to.

And although Trump has allegedly told advisors that DeSantis provided him private assurances, “that's not enough for the former president he wants DeSantis to say it in public,” Politico reported.

But while Trump hasn’t made any public announcements regarding a potential White House bid, sources close to the former president have reported that he has been raking in between $1-2 million per week.

According to Business Insider, Trump's fundraising efforts have already exceeded $100 million.

Some allies, including former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, have said they wouldn’t oppose a Trump presidential bid.

DeSantis, however, wouldn't go further than dismissing rumors of a 2024 run as "purely manufactured."

In April, Trump suggested he was considering DeSantis as his vice-presidential running mate.
