Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady evacuated his three children from the family’s home to Miami, where the team will be practicing for their Sunday game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

A source told PEOPLE magazine that his wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, will also be with the family despite rumors of marital strife.

The game between the Bucs and the Chiefs is still scheduled to be played Sunday night in Tampa but may be moved out of Florida because of Hurricane Ian, which Gov. Ron DeSantis warned could soon become a Category 5 storm.

NBC 6 WDSU reported that a decision may come within the next 48 hours and that the Ceasars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints, has made itself available as an alternative venue.

Brady said on a Monday podcast appearance that the incoming storm was no excuse to be ill-prepared for the Chiefs.

"Great opponent, well-coached, great quarterback, explosive offense, great D-coordinator, a lot of talented players on defense," Brady said Monday on SiriusXM's "Let's Go!" podcast. "They lost a tough one on the road (to the Colts), so they'll be hungry.

The Buccaneers are using the Dolphin’s practice facility this week after Miami finishes preparing for their away game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, according to a statement from Tampa.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion said adapting to the unprecedented circumstances was “pretty intense.”

“I don’t think Tampa’s probably, I don’t think any place is very well suited for a hurricane to hit, but everyone in this area will be in our thoughts and prayers as we go through it. I know our team is going to have to adjust, go to Miami and practice there for the week, and then hopefully we can come back later in the week and play against the Chiefs Sunday night,” Brady said Tuesday.

He continued: “I don’t think that anyone’s really prepared for this. I know I’ve been preparing all morning and get all my stuff outside, try to put it inside, try to get all the stuff on the ground level up a little bit higher.

“I’m right here on the bay so they’re talking about pretty high storm surges and it’s a scary thing. I will say that it’s a scary thing when it really hits your doorstep.”
