Miami’s skyline is about to get its first 100-story skyscraper at 300 Biscayne Boulevard. Designed by Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott as a stack of nine glass cubes, the 1,049-foot tower will be the city’s tallest residential tower. The architect of record is Sieger Suarez.
"Waldorf Astoria is a legendary brand and we wanted the design of the soaring tower to continue its legacy in Miami," said Charles Sieger.
"The feeling of transcendence guided much of our design process, and that is what we set out to achieve with Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami."

The project, first announced in 2017, is the first Waldorf Astoria development in South Florida, according to The Real Deal. However, it has been a work in progress since 2014, when PMG Downtown Developers LLC bought the 2-acre site for $80 million.
Waldorf Astoria is partnering with New York developer Property Markets Group (PMG), Toronto-based private equity firm Greybook Realty Partners, and hospitality company Hilton to complete the tower.
The skyscraper will have 260 condos and 205 Hilton hotel rooms. According to the design, the first three “cubes” that make up the building’s design will be the Hilton hotel. After that, the condos will take up the rest of the vertical space.
The building will have a lounge, a signature restaurant, event spaces, a pool deck with cabanas, a spa, and a fitness center, among other amenities. In addition, it will have parking for around 694 cars and 350 bicycles.
According to the developers, the Waldorf Astoria residences will offer the latest home technology, including a mobile app with access to the concierge, a full menu of all of the restaurants in the building, reservations to restaurants and spa, access to valet service, package delivery service, and dog walking, according to Miami Today News.
The Waldorf Astoria’s apartments start at $1 million, ranging from $1,100 per square foot to $2,500, depending on the location of the condo in the building. PMG expects buyers from all over the world
Ryan Shear, a managing principal at PMG, called the building a “once-in-a-lifetime” project. “You just don’t get to build a Waldorf every day,” he said.
The sale of the apartments launches in mark 2021. Around 75% of the inventory was sold in the first nine months. By May 2022, sales have reached 84%.

The tallest building in Miami’s skyline is the Panorama Tower. Completed in 2018, it looms over the city at 85 stories high.
