The conquest of the United States is an old dream of Formula 1. The so-called Netflix effect, thanks to the story told by the documentary series "Drive to Survive" on the platform, has generated great expectation among the American public, which explains why there is so much desire among fans and drivers for the first Grand Prix of Miami in Florida.

The organizers want it to be a spectacle and have spared no expense. So much so that to sell an urban circuit inspired by Monaco, they have invented a port. Literally: they have planted boats on a wooden platform that they have painted as if they were the sea. Yet when seen on a television screen, it works, but it has already become an object of ridicule in the media.

The route runs through the Miami Gardens area, with the Hard Rock Stadium as its epicenter. The home of the mythical Miami Dolphins will be in the background while the cars drive alongside, leaving viewers with unique images. The aim of this circuit is obvious: to make Miami a new Monaco. It is the best possible example since Liberty Media, owners of the competition, are determined to make the United States a leading player in the Formula 1 panorama.

That is why they have not spared expenses on the perfect scenery. Neon lights are the central idea of the posters, reminiscing images from the "Miami Vice" series. A luxurious Hollywood atmosphere is the centerpiece coming from the circuit. Following these lines, the organizers were not ashamed to invent a port just because it looks good in the television broadcast, despite the ridicule and memes on social media.

The circuit will take place in the Miami Gardens area, a few kilometers from the beach, but a Grand Prix of Miami without sun and sea is not the same. This will be the eleventh Formula 1 race on U.S. soil in the history of the competition and the first of two this year before visiting Austin, Texas, for the Grand Prix of the Americas.
