American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine returned to Cuba to record a music video with Cuban singer Lenier Mesa, who now lives in the United States.

"Part of the video was recorded here in Cuba and the rest will be shot in the United States," said music video director Pepe Salom," in a statement on Instagram.

"The song's tentative name is Leyenda Viva (Living Legend). It is a video based on real events, the story of a Cuban born in Pinar del Río from a humble family,” the director said.

The producer added that “the video will show what life is like for a Cuban born in the countryside, we lived two days with a peasant family and experienced Cuba firsthand.

He added that Tekashi asked to spend time working the land and did field chores to better understand the hardship some Cubans endure and to make the imagery more realistic.

Some of the images from the video of Tekashi dressed as a Cuban peasant have already circulated on social networks. The clothing was part of the characterization that the musician had assumed for the video clip.
