Brazilian soccer legend Pele was released from the hospital on Thursday after receiving two days of cancer treatment, the hospital reported.

Pele "was discharged on Thursday and is in a clinically stable condition," said the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo.

Back in September doctors found a tumor in Pele’s right colon and he underwent surgery to have it removed

Since then more tumors have been found in Pele, one in the intestine, one in the liver, and another in the lung, reported ESPN. They said that the legend will undergo more exams to find out if the cancer has spread further. But the hospital only confirmed the colon tumor.

Pelé, now 81, is a three-time soccer World Cup winner and led Brazil to its first World Cup title. In 2000, FIFA named him the Player of the Century. He was included in the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1993.
