A dash cam captured a viral video showing the moment a car loses a tire on a California freeway and causes a car next door to flip through the air last week.
The incident took place last Thursday on the Ronald Reagan Freeway near the neighborhood of Chatsworth in Los Angeles.
The video shows a white pickup truck driving on the highway when suddenly its front-left tire pops off and moves along the highway in the same direction as traffic.
A dark-colored Kia Soul driving on the left lane gets caught behind the loose tire and eventually hits it, launching the car several feet up in the air, the video shows. The car flips, landing on its roof and rolling on the highway several times before landing right-side-up. The tire hits the car again before it stops moving.
The white pickup truck continues to move across the highway until it comes to a stop on the right shoulder of the road.

According to the driver of the Kia was the only passenger in the car and he was not injured, despite the magnitude of the freak accident, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said no other major injuries happened following the incident, according to KTLA.
The driver of the Tesla that captured the video said his car’s autopilot assistance system detected the crash and maneuvered the electric car away from the oncoming wheel.
