Tiger Woods – along with his son Charlie – will be competing in his first tournament since injuring his leg and back in a rollover car accident in February, The Hill reported.

“Although it’s been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the @PNCchampionship with my son Charlie. I’m playing as a Dad and couldn’t be more excited and proud,” Woods tweeted.

The PGA Tour, which organizes a yearly event where two pro golfers and a member of their family team up to play in the unofficial tournament, noted that it has been 288 days since Woods was involved in the crash in California.

On the day of the crash, the pro-golfer was on his way to Rolling Hills Country Club south of Los Angeles when he hit a median and subsequently flipped his car, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department reported.

Last month, Woods held his first press conference since the crash and was asked if he thought he would play competitively again.

"As far as playing at the Tour level, I don't know when that's going to happen," he replied, adding, "I don't foresee this leg ever being what it used to be.”
