The manhunt for Alabama corrections officer Vicky White and murder suspect Casey White ended on Monday, Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton announced.
The duo was apprehended in Evansville, Ind., on Monday during a pursuit by U.S. Marshals after fleeing the Lauderdale County detention facility on April 29, FOX 6 reporter Jonathan Hardison observed.
The Whites crashed their truck during a pursuit, and while Casey is in custody, Vicky is being treated for her injuries at a hospital.
At least one weapon was found in the truck. The sheriff confirmed law enforcement did not fire shots at the fleeing couple and that Vicky White shot herself during the pursuit.

"We got a dangerous man off the streets today, he's never gonna see the light of day again, and that's a good thing," Singleton said.
